Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
  • NTP is an indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchangeability (terms of trade) of agricultural products for goods and services consumed and for production costs.
  • Kalimantan Tengah Combined NTP in January 2024 decreased by 0.35 percent compared to December 2023, namely from 121.67 to 121.24. This decline was caused by the decline in exchange rates in several subsectors, namely food crops fell by 0.67 percent and horticultural crops by 7.20 percent.
  • In January 2024, there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Kalimantan Tengah by 1.01 percent, which was mainly caused by an increase in the Food, Beverage and Tobacco group index (1.50 percent); Health group (0.79 percent); Education group (0.69 percent); and the Personal Care and Other Services group (0.58 percent).
  • Kalimantan Tengah Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in January 2024 increased by 0.39 percent, from 123.72 (December 2023) to 124.20 (January 2024).
