Abstract
Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib). NTP is an indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchangeability (terms of trade) of agricultural products for goods and services consumed and for production costs. The Combined NTP of Kalimantan Tengah in October 2023 increased by 2.04 percent compared to September 2023, namely from 115.41 to 117.76. This increase was caused by the increase in exchange rates in all subsectors, namely food crops (3.31 percent), horticulture (2.46 percent), smallholder plantation crops (1.84 percent), livestock (1.19 percent), and fisheries ( 0.54 percent). In October 2023, there will be an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Kalimantan Tengah by 0.71 percent, which is mainly due to an increase in the Transportation group index (1.16 percent); Food, Beverage and Tobacco group (0.89 percent); and the Education group (0.60 percent). Similar to the NTP, the Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) of Kalimantan Tengah in October 2023 also increased by 2.37 percent, from 116.02 (September 2023) to 118.77 (October 2023).
